TO MAKE LIP GLOSS 10-TIPS AND RECIPES

HOW TO MAKE LIP GLOSS

-. Making lip gloss with Vaseline
The easiest way to make homemade lip gloss is with petroleum jelly, or Vaseline. The method is really straight forward. You warm the Vaseline in a microwave, add your choice of colourings, flavourings and scent, and then you mix it all up and leave it to cool in a refrigerator. It really is that simple to do and, because it’s so cheap, you can afford to play around and experiment with different colours and flavours. Here are a few Vaseline lip gloss recipes to give you some ideas to start you off.
-. Vaseline and Kool Aid lip gloss
The simplest of all the homemade lip gloss recipes is one you can make with a flavoured drink powder such as Kool Aid.  Mix two tablespoons of Kool Aid with a tablespoon of Vaseline and heat it in a microwave until it has melted. Give the mixture a good stir and then leave it in a refrigerator until it has cooled and set.
-. Make use of old eyeshadow
If you have some old remnants of an eyeshadow that you like, you can put that to good use in a lip gloss too. Break up the eyeshadow into a fine powder and mix it well with some Vaseline. You could add some flavouring with Kool Aid powder, or food flavouring, if you wish. Warm it up in the microwave, mix and allow it to set before you use it.
-. Use up the last of a lipstick
You can take the same approach with an old lipstick as well. Scrape out the last bits of a lipstick and mix in well with Vaseline, warm it in a microwave and leave it to set in the fridge. You can make your own lip gloss with pretty much any pigmented makeup, including blush, which also works very well.
-. Mix and match the ingredients
You really can just have fun with the ingredients and make up your own recipes. If you wanted to make a lip gloss that will nourish and hydrate your lips, you could try mixing a tablespoon of Vaseline with half a teaspoon of jojoba oil and a teaspoon of shea butter. Warm it in the same way as before in a microwave oven and then mix in colourings and flavourings of your choice.
-. Making lip gloss with beeswax
The method for making lip gloss with beeswax is very much the same as it for Vaseline. You melt the beeswax in a microwave, or in a double boiler, you add oil, such as coconut oil, and then you add colouring, flavouring, and a scent of your choice. When you are making homemade lip gloss, with beeswax, or with Vaseline, it is important that you don’t overheat the ingredients. Here are some recipe ideas for homemade beeswax lip gloss.
. Basic beeswax lip gloss
Beeswax lip gloss recipes contain more ingredients, but they will last longer and look better than the Vaseline recipes. For a basic beeswax lip gloss, melt a tablespoon of cocoa butter with two teaspoons of beeswax. When it has melted, stir in half a teaspoon of jojoba oil and a few drops of honey for some flavour and then allow the mixture to set.
-. Peppermint lip gloss
This is a basic recipe for lip gloss that makes use of both beeswax and Vaseline. We have used peppermint flavouring here, but you could use any flavouring. Heat two tablespoons of Vaseline with a teaspoon of beeswax. Remove the mixture from the heat and then stir in ten drops of peppermint oil. Pour the mixture into a sealable container and leave it to set.
. Honey and berry lip gloss
Beeswax and Vaseline are not the only things that you can use in a homemade lip gloss, this recipe uses almond oil and fresh berries instead. Heat five fresh raspberries with a tablespoon of sweet almond oil, a drop of vitamin E oil, and a teaspoon of honey, until the mixture melts completely. Mash up the berries and mix them well in with the other ingredients and then strain to remove the seeds of the berries. Pour into a container and leave to cool.
-. Honey and lemon lip gloss
Here’s a great tasting lip gloss recipe that will nourish and moisturise your lips. As with all these recipes, try adding your own colourings and ingredients as well. Heat two tablespoons of beeswax with a teaspoon of jojoba oil. When the mixture has melted, add the contents of one vitamin E capsule, a teaspoon of honey and five drops of lemon flavouring. Mix it well together and leave to cool.
